The 2017 edition of UAV Canada is here and this year’s version highlights innovative ways Canadian organizations across a variety of industries are taking their unmanned pursuits to brand new heights.
As Mark Aruja, chairman of Unmanned Systems Canada notes in his column “A Remarkable Story of Progress” on page 7, “It is very likely that 2017 will be remembered as a watershed year for the Canadian UAS industry.”
Aruja notes that business activity in the unmanned space is rising dramatically as both investors and customers are seeing supportable business cases. The regulatory risk is also decreasing, new products and services are coming to market and close to a decade of commercial operating experience is building capacity beyond the pre-revenue stage.
As importantly, the conversation is moving to automated vehicles, new communications technologies, data analytics and artificial intelligence.
This year’s version of UAV Canada explores important regulatory realities in the works to establish the safest commercial working environment possible. It also highlights how Canadian companies and organizations are successfully adopting unmanned technologies to maximize the value of their businesses.
