Percepto raises $15M in funding

Percepto has raised US$15 million Series A Round Funding, led by U.S. Venture Partners (USVP), with participation from existing investors: NHN, Spider Capital and Emerge. The company has to date raised a total of US$27.5 million. Previous investors include R&R Venture Partners and Hyundai Motors.

“This new investment in Percepto accelerates our rapid trajectory,” said Dor Abuhasira, CEO of Percepto. “We have the solution, talent, infrastructure and funding in place to scale our operations and further expand our international presence that already includes energy, oil & gas, mining and other heavy industry businesses in more than ten countries. It also enables us to continue at pace with Percepto’s ground-breaking research and development.”

The Percepto Drone-in-a-Box (DIB) technology is in use around the world, including a number of Fortune 500 organizations in the U.S., South America, EMEA and South East Asia. The DIB solution, explains Percepto, improves on-site security, safety, operations, maintenance and compliance with its unique computer vision and AI technology. This technology enables real-time detection of threats, safety hazards and anomalies, as well as mapping, 3D modelling and emergency response, all can be remotely managed over the cloud.

Among the company’s customers is Enel, the Italian multinational energy company that uses Percepto’s solution to protect and optimize its operations.
